Best
for Prototyping & Rework!
Our popular Zephlux™
No-Clean, Rework Flux™
was developed
working with
2
independent metallurgical labs.
Since 1996, our customers still rave that
Zephlux™
is still the best PCB fluxing
agent at benches for prototyping and rework. Why? Because it is
not a high-production flux, but a bench-top
low, residue flux that stays "local". |
|
|
|
When fluxes
are too liquid, they flow up under other
adjacent chips.
If a
flux is "pasty" it inevitably is "stringy"
leaving frustrating sticky messes on your
PCB and around your bench. Zephlux™
Rework Flux™
hits the "sweet spot" for
SMD work. Not runny, not stringy, but
extra tacky
that stays "local" with PutPower™
to a single tiny SMD chip, yet with the
essential properties critical for successful board work. |

High Volume Flux Agents Not Bench
Friendly:
Most fluxes marketed today have very liquid
formulated consistencies for
high-volume production where PCB's are bathed in flux
prior to reflow. Such fluxes are
problematic for benchtop electronic work
where a single chip is targeted for removal and/or replacement.
Having a flux spread and run over the PCB will require
additional cleaning afterward.
And Let's Be Honest: There's Really No 100%
'No-Clean' Flux! This 1980's flux
nomenclature, while descriptive, can wrongly imply PCB's should
not be cleaned. David Jacks long ago stated "New flux is your
friend. Old flux is your enemy". Even the lowest residue "no
clean" fluxes can leave active residue under QFN's and BGA's. So
always keep this in mind. The restaurant creed "work clean"
holds true with all PCB work. |

Our
NCF No Clean Rework Flux Can Be Applied by Foam Swab or
By Syringe (See Top of This Page) |
|
| |
So, if only for substrate
"cosmetics", clean your PCBs. We recommend a
non-flammable solvent
or saponified water. Still, if cleaning, the honey
consistency attribute of our Rework Flux™ "stays put" on the
local pads making any
cosmetic cleaning later easier and more
controllable. Flux is easily applied with a foam
swab. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Rework Flux™
is a
low residue, no-clean,
RMA tack flux formulated for electronic work
and is ideal for SMD, thru-hole and mixed
technologies where localized PCB prototyping and rework are
done.
Our
Rework Flux™ ships out filled in convenient
14 gram Wide Mouth™ jars
