Best
for Prototyping & Rework!
Our popular Zephlux™
No-Clean, Rework Flux™
was developed
working with
2
independent metallurgical labs.
Since 1995, our customers still rave that our
Rework
Flux™
is still the best PCB fluxing
agent at benches for prototyping and rework. Why? Because it is
not a high-production flux, but a bench-top
low residue flux that really stays put and "local". |
|
|
When a flux
is too liquid, it can flow up under other
adjacent components.
If a
flux is "pasty" it inevitably is "stringy"
creating frustrating sticky messes on your
PCB and around your bench. So, we
wanted the "sweet spot" for an SMD flux at
the bench...and we have it. Our famous
Rework Flux™
stays "local" to a single SMD chip, yet with the
essential properties critical for successful printed circuit board work. |

Most Fluxes Are Not Intended for PCB Bench Soldering
and are formulated either as: 1.) Very "wet" (liquid) for
high-volume production use where the entire PCB is bathed in flux
before reflow. Wet
fluxes are troublesome if hand soldering only one or a
few targeted chips because wet fluxes spread and run all over
the PCB requiring more clean-up; 2.) Or so-called "Paste
Fluxes" which are very stringy, messy and can quickly get all over your
bench, tools, chairs! In a league of its own, our Zephlux™
Tack Flux is ideal for PCB work. Our customers love it.
There's Really No 100%
'No-Clean' Flux! This old 1980's nomenclature wrongly implies PCB's shouldn't be cleaned. David Jacks long ago stated "New flux is your
friend. Old flux is your enemy". Even low residue "no
clean" fluxes can leave active residue beneath QFN's and BGA's.
So, it's always best to clean after reworking PCB's. |
|
|
|

Our
NCF No Clean Rework Flux Can Be Applied by Foam Swab or
By Syringe (See Top of This Page) |
|
|
So, if only for board
"cosmetics", clean your PCBs. We recommend a
non-flammable solvent.
With the SuperTack™
consistency attribute of our Rework Flux™
that "stays put" on the
local PCB pads, any needed clean-up afterward is just so
much easier and making PCB soldering even fun. |
|
|
|
|
|
Rework Flux™
is a
low residue, no-clean,
RMA tack flux formulated for electronic work
and is ideal for SMD, thru-hole and mixed
technologies where localized PCB prototyping and rework is
performed. Our
Rework Flux™ ships out filled in convenient
14 gram Wide Mouth™ jars
with MSDS
docs. |
